So, it's you know what day again.

This week I picked up 52 Week 12, Blue Beetle #5, and Crisis Aftermath: The Spectre #3.

52 is beginning to pickup speed, as a couple of the stories are about to converge. There's lots of stuff going on in this one.

Blue Beetle is a relatively new ongoing book. Ted Kord, the previous Blue Beetle, was killed during the Infinite Crisis, so I understand. The new Blue Beetle is a Hispanic teenager named Jaime Reyes. He's still trying to figure out how his powers work. In the current arc, Jaime has teamed with a street gang called the Posse while searching for a villian named La Dama.

Crisis Aftermath: The Spectre is a 3 issue mini series, wrapping up a couple of lose ends from the Infinite Crisis event. I hadn't intended to pick this series up, but the week after the first came out, I had a light pull list and there was still a copy or two of that first issue there. I like miniseries because the stories are short and sweet and self contained. Even though I hadn't read any of the Infinite Crisis stuff, this series was easy to follow. It delved into the issues of sin, justice, punishment and redemption. Pretty heady stuff, but it was handled very well.

That's it for this week. For previous comic recaps, check the archives. For more information on the above comics, go to DC Comics

I had seen the Teen Titans one (Judas something or other)

As long as Kevin Conroy is there, I am too.
